The Spirit of Giving
As we left the 9th annual Gil Murdock Turkey Trot, a TKer exuberantly said, “This was the best day!” With a smile on my face and a lump in my throat, I wholeheartedly agreed. I also began thinking of the inspirational spirit of giving that pervades our campus on a daily basis. Whether students are collecting pop tabs to raise money for families at the nearby Ronald McDonald House, donating their time to mentor students at a local school, replenishing books for flood victims in another state, or raising funds to help feed primary school children on another continent, our Chargers believe helping others to be an integral part of their social responsibility. The ethic of giving of time, talent, and treasure is woven throughout the fabric of our school. For this, I am truly thankful and inspired to be a member of the Charger family!
