25 years ago when I was a senior at PDS, we called this “the house”. I have vivid memories of planning pre-prom makeup parties, taking the US states map test, looking at ads in the newspaper when I was searching for my first car and practicing French with Madame Stark. Fast forward to present day. Kids don’t take classes here anymore, but it’s still the heart of campus. Many tears, laughs and words of encouragement have been shared here with the counseling staff over the past 9 years as I have navigated new ground, as a parent. Through it all, “the house” has felt like coming home.
